Originals Howard Zinn

Howard Zinn

$640.00

Howard Zinn, author, activist, professor, and philosopher is well known for his book A People's History of the United States; 1492 to Present, first published in 1980. In A People's History of the United States Zinn explores stories of American history commonly left out of standardized school textbooks. It challenges the reader on how American history is portrayed and told, particularly how it relates to the working class, the ability to organize, and the working class's relationship to American Imperialism, being captured by nationalism or confronting it. Zinn’s perspectives are considered to be from his influence during the civil rights and anti-war movements.

Howard Zinn, September 2022, is an acrylic portrait on 16 x 20 canvas. Depicting Zinn in a true posture, the artist seeks to show the realism of the author and the story he writes. Showing details of the face and a posture of how-it-is in his look the artist focuses on realism for the portrait. Colors are also prominent, with pink signifying nonviolence and the blues balancing the painting.

Order Prints for Howard Zinn, available for $140 on 20 x 16 Archival Paper.
